What is the valid reason that I can't delete a cinder volume if there is a snapshot available for that volume ? # cinder delete 6120bb04-fc02-42fa-b7b6-21c85b81c0eb

Delete for volume 6120bb04-fc02-42fa-b7b6-21c85b81c0eb failed: Invalid volume: Volume still has 1 dependent snapshots (HTTP 400) (Request-ID: req-568c237e-4256-4853-84af-08fe4d4df890) ERROR: Unable to delete any of the specified volumes.

In my case i solved like this

. Check your dependent snapshots like this

cinder snapshot-list --all-tenants=1 | grep <volume-id>

. Get yout dependent snapshot id and delete it

cinder snapshot-delete <snapshot id>

. Finaly delete your volume

cinder delete <volume-id>
