I have a CentOS 6 instance inside openstack deployment, I have also assigned a floating IP however I need to get the IP of the VM from command line inside that VM , how can I get floating IP assigned to this guest VM ? What command should be used to get floating IP?

Running ifconfig on that VM returns only the private IP?

Metadata request from within VM via Nova Metadata Server

$curl http://169.254.169.254/latest/meta-data/public-ipv4

Whenever we assign a network (mostly internal network) to the VM it will display from the ifconfig as ell as the Dashboard also. But when we assign a Floating ip it will display only on the Dashboard and not using ifconfig..
