Havana Firstly how to add havana repositories in ubuntu 13.04 server . add-apt-repository cloud-archive:havana command does not work. I have created /etc/apt/sources.list.d/uca-havana.list and added the following lines.

 deb http://ubuntu-cloud.archive.canonical.com/ubuntu precise-updates/havana main
 deb http://ubuntu-cloud.archive.canonical.com/ubuntu precise-proposed/havana main

I am installing nova-compute on the compute node on Ubuntu 13.04 server . While installing nova-compute i am having dependency problems.

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 nova-compute : Depends: qemu-utils
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

When I try to install qemu utils i get more dependencies. Any idea whats going on?

You should be able to install the right source repository cloud-archive if you follow the instructions on Ubuntut's wiki https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam/CloudArchive and things will improve.

The page says that they don't have any plans to host the packages for not LTS versions. Is it still possible to install the openstack packages with their dependencies on a non LTS version- in my case ubuntu server 13.04

They have packages for Havana. Try to run apt-get update after you add the repositor with `add-apt-repository cloud-archive:havana`. If that command fails, add the output to your question (edit it, please).
