How can we use OVS in Openstack to show the networking between two VMs connected to two different internal networks?

I am using Ubuntu 14.04 and installed Openstack using Devstack (All in one single machine). I am trying to show that OVS is working in our setup of Openstack. What I have understood form different sources is that if somehow I can show that a VM present on one internal network can be accessed by a VM present on some other internal network, I can verify the working of OVS integration bridge. If there is any flaw in my understanding, please let me know.

I am doubtful about this since you can not ping to the internal ip or private ip allotted to each vm as the communication happens only through public/floating ip only..

I am associating a floating IP with every VM
