Identifying cause of VM slowness

We had an openStack implementation using the vanilla packages then we decided to utilize Mirantis instead which fits our corporate environment better and need for support once in a while.

After spinning up VM's on our environment after reconfiguring with Mirantis OpenStack all of the Vm's are EXTREMELY slow. I've made sure to adjust the MTU since we're using GRE for networking but it doesn't matter if we used attached storage or local host storage, it's painfully slow.

Everything is the same in this setup aside from the use of Mirantis packages. Anyone seen this before? Have any suggestions?

Have you tried disabling the TCP segmentation offload?

Example: ethtool -K ethX tso off
