We are new to openstack. We trying to setup openstack test environment.

We have 5 (Dell poweredge R630) and 1 (Dell poweredge R730) servers. What is best way to implement Mirantis openstack.

Options 1 - 3 controller, 2 - compute , 1 - storage
Options 2 - 3 controller, 1 - compute , 1 - storage, 1 - neutron ( can we implement separate neutron using fuel 7.0)
Options 3 - 2 controller, 3 - compute , 1 - storage
Options 4 - 1 controller, 4 - compute , 1 - storage

Kindly share any blueprints.

Hello,

First of all, did you decide to use Mirantis ?? If yes, read the following for better understanding about the MOS archietecture. MOS7-Reference-Architecture

Yeah, we have finalized with Mirantis. I'm completely new to Openstack. I'm really confused with the networking. I have 2 juniper switch (QFS 5100 & EX 3300).

Is there any runbook step by step guide.

Thank Anand
