I have configured a 3-node openstack icehouse setup. Instances are able to ping each other and to router gateway but not internet. Also Router namespace is not able to access internet. We have even applied the following rule on network node :

# sudo iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth3 -j MASQUERADE

where eth3 is the interface for network node and bridge br-ex is connected to it. Still internet is inaccessible.

Suggest something !!

The command you have given shows error.

[root@newnetwork ~]# traceroute 8.8.8.8 ifconfig -a ip route show
Bad option `-a' (argc 3)

Please give the correct command . traceroute 8.8.8.8 on VM is dropping packets on floating IP.

Sorry. Those are 3 separate commands. 1. traceroute 8.8.8.8; 2. ifconfig -a; 3. ip route show;

on network node

[root@network ~]# traceroute 8.8.8.8
traceroute to 8.8.8.8 (8.8.8.8), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets
