Anyone can recommend a good mobile app for managing Openstack? Something that is similar to Horizon but run natively on mobile devices. AWS has its management console on both iOS and Android (http://aws.amazon.com/console/mobile/).

There seem to be a couple of mobile applications on Google Play that seem to be capable of managing some OpenStack public clouds. I haven't tried any of these though and I'm not aware of any effort to develop an 'official' one.

We are pleased to inform you that we release “Stack mobile”, an Android app for managing an Openstack cloud on the go, to the Google Play store today ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.n3infinity.stack_mobile ). The app enables you manage your Openstack cloud infrastructure from anywhere at anytime. It is compatible with Openstack-based clouds for stable versions of Grizzly+ (Grizzly and Havana). Note that the app requires a direct network access between your phone and API endpoints of your clouds (Keystone, Nova, Cinder, Glance, Neutron API endpoints). The app currently offers the features listed below. Any feedback, comments, and suggestions are welcome.

  1. Managing multiple accounts
  2. Have multiple Openstack accounts? No worry about it, simply put them in the app, and you can manage either of them from the app.
  3. Instance management
  4. Launch your instance, rename an instance, view information about your instance, suspend & resume instances, see console logs, create snapshots, launch from snapshots, view flavors.
  5. Volume management
  6. Create new volume, attach volume to an instance, create a volume snapshot
  7. Security group management
  8. View security groups, view and add security rules
  9. Usage report
  10. View usage within specified date ranges.
  11. Limit summary
  12. Display your current usage compared to your project’s quota.
  13. Network/subnet management
  14. Create a new network, view networks, create a subnet within a network, view subnets within a network
  15. Floating IP management
  16. View floating IPs, associate / dissociate floating IP to/from an instance
  17. Multiple projects
  18. Have an account that has more than one projects? No worry about it, you can switch the project to manage on the fly within the app.

I started to develop something similar but had to stop working on it for lack of time. I made it available on GitHub in case anyone wants to continue working on it: https://github.com/stackerz/app

If anyone keeps working on the code or forks it just let me know (maybe create an issue https://github.com/stackerz/app/issues) so I can follow and try the new app, it'd be really cool to see it complete.

There is an Android App specifically to manage OpenStack Swift:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sme.swift (https://play.google.com/store/apps/de...)

The same company also provide iOS, Windows Phone and BlackBerry Apps for Swift and desktop Apps for what seems to be Mac, Windows and LInux, Not used them but look interesting.
