Hello All,

I have configured Openstack and everything works well internally. However, I am having an issue when connecting to the console of my virtual machines when accessing internally. This is because the session is trying to connect to http://myhypervisor.internal:8000. How and where do I configure this so that I can access it using http://myexternaldomain.com and to which ports do I need to NAT?

Thanks

Paul

I believe you should try VNC configuration options in nova.conf (Table 4.59. Description of VNC configuration options).

See also the VNC options in the installation guide - try using your external IP instead.

Edit /etc/nova/nova.conf in all the compute node with the following option.

novncproxy_base_url = http://<your-externaldomain-here>:6080/vnc_auto.html

Also don't forget to add the DNS host entry for your external domain in /etc/hosts file. or you could directly mention the IP address above in novncproxy_base_url.

Then restart all the nova service.
