Tried as per the documentation given in https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/OpenStack_and_OpenDaylight, which is for Juno release of openstack. But it doesnt seam to work the same for Openstack Kilo. Giving Mechanism driver as opendaylight in ml2_conf.ini file, prevents neutron-server service from starting. Is is mandatory to use, https://github.com/flavio-fernandes/networking-odl for the mechanism driver to work in Kilo release?

I faced the same issue :-)

Install the missing odl module:

apt-get install python-pip

pip install networking_odl

Then restart the neutron server service.
