UPDATE 10/18/2015

Final draft written only in English. Y.Kawada patches converted from pdf to raw text format.Tested on RDO Liberty (RC3) installed on CentOS 7.1 box ( would work on RDO Kilo as well )

Switching to Dashboard Spice Console on RDO Liberty (RC3) AIO installation on CentOS 7.1

Patching virt/libvirt/config.py and virt/libvirt/driver.py provides sound and cut&&paste features when Cloud VM gets connected via spicy or virt-manager

Disregard answer bellow if by some reasons you hate RH RDO Kilo and your favorite OS is Ubuntu.
See http://linux.press/?p=13077
For CentOS 7.1 just skip all F22 related part.

the slideshare is hard to read as my Japanese goes as far a sushi BUT it does mention the agent which I am sure means I need to install something on the windows instance.

I have been using second one as well plus RDO documentation. But neither one of them cares about sound. . You don't need to know Japanese. Just download slide share as pdf file and pick up patches. I confirm they work on RDO Kilo for /virt/libvirt/config.py and driver.py.

Mentioned files are responsible for generating libvirt.xml for any nova VM. Even having Spice Console enabled using your second source, you would not get sound working.

My lab is a ESXI Server on t5500 x2 cores, 72gb ram, with a Nested RDO Kilo (current patches) on CentOS 7 with storage being provided by an HP N40L. When I enabled spice though everything went to crap, mouse is messed up, sound is a buzzzz, even with the agent. so no worky here :-( Nested issue or
