I am following the Mirantis 7.0 User Guide (https://docs.mirantis.com/openstack/fuel/fuel-7.0/user-guide.html#user-guide (https://docs.mirantis.com/openstack/f...)) to download and install Fuel.

Apparently it's as easy as downloading an ISO and bootup your machine from it (tried with a remote mount and a directly burned DVD with the same results).

When I boot up the machine I do get a "Welcome to Fuel Installer" menu but when I select the "DVD Fuel Install (Static IP)" I get: "Error 15: File not found".

Has anyone run into this situation? I did check the md5 and the checksums match, plus I tried both the Mirantis 7.0 and 6.1 version with the same error.

On Mirantis install, the ISO is probably the easiest way but is there any other way to get the mirantis packages and install them manually if I don't have any other option?

This explains my issue. How could I install mirantis then?

Servers that use some UEFI chips (such as the Lenovo W520) can not be used for Fuel target nodes because they do not emulate legacy BIOS in a way that is compatible with the grub settings used for the Fuel Master node.

Have you tried to boot ISO on bare metal server or on virtual (ISO as a virtual CD-ROM)?

This is what I've tried:

  • Booting on different hardware than the one I've got in my lab (Have all IBM blades). That works ok proving that the ISO is not at fault.

  • Booting from ISO on a VM: works ok.

  • Burned a DVD booted from the DVD on the IBM blades: did not work

Is Mirantis aware of this?
