Hi, I installed openstack on CentOS7(VM), and followed these guidlines for "running an instance". After successfully creating an image, I am lunching an instance and it is stuck on "scheduling"

Have any idea what can I do?

Password for nova in configuration files on Compute node doesn't match the one which is in MySQL database
Verify all required files

[root@ip-192-169-142-57 neutron]# cat neutron.conf | grep -v ^#|grep -v ^$| grep  nova
notify_nova_on_port_status_changes = True
notify_nova_on_port_data_changes = True
nova_url =
nova_region_name =RegionOne
nova_admin_username =nova
nova_admin_tenant_id =f95f9966fb9f41c5a90299f729f7466b

Also, I tried to log in to mysql as user=nova with the password of nova.conf and I succeeded... Are you sure this is the issue? maybe i'm missing something else over there..

This error "OperationalError: (OperationalError) (1045, "Access denied for user 'nova'@'' (using password: YES)") None None" is in your nova-scheduler.log. Please, double check

Information provided in not sufficient to comment - Anyways you can still check the following :- 1. Sync between all the nodes. ( NTP) 2. Nova-manage service list should show all smiling smileys. 3. compute host should have sufficient space. 4. please see/post the logs - Controller-Node: /var/log/nova/nova-api.log, nova-scheduler.log Compute-Node: /var/log/nova/nova-compute.log 5. if everything seems fine, try to restart the nova-compute service.

Hi, 1. I don't know what more information I could provide as an initial description, any suggestions? 2. It is a all in one machine, so only one node.. 3. How do I check if compute host have sufficent space? 4. I am adding in my question the logs, I see some 'access denied' issues..
