Hello,

I've ready through some basic information about openstack and I see that it is very complicated to setup and get openstack running for someone totally new to it.

However, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=II7gaaNR0Es&feature=c4-overview&list=UUuUpUWYE6oL3lEmisbfZLYw (based on this video) Mirantis openstack appears easier with no need of using commandline tools and complicated setup procedures. Is this true or is there some complications that is hidden behind the scenes?

Thanks

Yes, Mirantis uses their Fuel libraries to deploy production OpenStack environments. They use the command line when they are using it because that gives them the most control. If you are using Fuel Web's GUI, you don't get as many deployment options compared to the command line, but the ones you do have access to can be considered "production" depending on your use case.
