Openstack networking (nova, neutron)

I have installed Openstack Icehouse on an Ubuntu server. I feel that by default the installation script has installed nova networking. But somehow Networking tab does not show on the Horizon dashboard.

Some link on the net suggested to disable nova and enable neutron to get the required tab. But did not specify how to do this.

I would greatly appreciate if someone can help me with this. Also please tell how to check whether neutron was installed by the installation script.

Thank you in advance. Best regards, Hamid Sultan

Which installation script do you use? (is there any particular reason to work with icehouse and not juno/kilo?)

Hi Antonio Thanks for your message.. Since I am totally new, I followed a link on how to install icehouse.on a single machine. Would you suggest juno, kilo or installing through devstack. Please provide a link to install on a single machine.

Best regards, Hamid

Try installing Juno. Here is the link to install Juno on 3 node (Ubuntu 14.04) though you can install on 1 if you have enough memory.

You can use RDO (that uses packstack) or try to install it manually (Centos or Ubuntu hosts)
