Hi Expert,

I am getting an issue to access the console from Horizon. I am using VMware vCenter as Compute node for my Openstack Juno environment. From Openstack site I could see everything is good, but the "nova-consoleauth" is not running, Also unable to restart it manually.

Please have a look into the below details and kindly provide me the solution.

controller - 10.83.204.109

running:
nova-consoleauth (Stopped)
nova-novncproxy

nova.conf:
novncproxy_host=0.0.0.0
novncproxy_port=6080
novncproxy_base_url=http://10.83.204.109:6080/vnc_auto.html

compute - 10.83.204.31

running:
nova-compute

nova.conf:
vnc_enabled=True
novncproxy_base_url=http://10.83.204.109:6080/vnc_auto.html
vncserver_listen=0.0.0.0
vncserver_proxyclient_address=10.83.204.31

From vCneter enviroment please let me know whether I can open any port from Security profile from ESX server to allow the vnc protocol.

Also noticed that in VM instance (.vmx) file below parameter has updated, but we are using port 6080 from Openstack controller for VNC port.

RemoteDisplay.vnc.enabled = "true"
RemoteDisplay.vnc.port = "5900"
