I have running this instance, then I take a snapshot of it. It goes fine. Then, I try to launch a new instance from that snapshot and it fails with this error:

Error building server
ERROR (InstanceInErrorState): unsupported operand type(s) for *: 'NoneType' and 'int'
Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/oslo_messaging/rpc/dispatcher.py", line 142, in _dispatch_and_reply
    executor_callback))

  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/si

(complete erorr: http://paste.ubuntu.com/12232944/)

Any clues where can be the problem?

UPDATE: I just try to launch a new instance from an image and got the same error. That never happened again. I'm running RDO Kilo and last week I re run the installer (packstack --answer-file=answers.txt) where answers.txt contains the new configuration and also excluded servers that were running from before. MAybe is something related with that.

UPDATE 2: I see that the problem is nova (Ithink) doesn't "know" about my new server (tramontana.akainix.local) and that's why it's giving this error "Host tramontana.akainix.local has more disk space than database expected". I think this is because when I added tramontana as one more compute host, I excluded the old ones, like this:

From answers.txt:

EXCLUDE_SERVERS=oldserver1,oldserver2, oldserver3, oldserver4 CONFIG_COMPUTE_HOSTS=oldserver1,oldserver2, oldserver3, oldserver4, tramontana.akainix.local

Probably there is the main issue. The question now is: How can I "tell" Nova that this new server is there?

Did you adjust network card names ?

the card name is "em1". in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-em1 appears as such (DEVICE="em1"). Also is the only interface that is UP. That server has nothing on it (data) yet, so I can re install it if needed. If I re install it and re run the installation should be ok?

UPDATE 09/11/2015
EXCLUDE_SERVER list is missing CONTROLLER
END UPDATE

Sample

CONFIG_NOVA_COMPUTE_PRIVIF=eth1
CONFIG_NOVA_NETWORK_PUBIF=eth0
CONFIG_NOVA_NETWORK_PRIVIF=eth1
CONFIG_NEUTRON_OVS_TUNNEL_IF=eth1

If you have only em1 on AIO Node, then you are supposed to have em1 on compute node as well

    CONFIG_NOVA_COMPUTE_PRIVIF=em1
    CONFIG_NOVA_NETWORK_PUBIF=em1
    CONFIG_NOVA_NETWORK_PRIVIF=em1
    CONFIG_NEUTRON_OVS_TUNNEL_IF=em1

Is not an AIO. The one with the problem is not the Controller. I had controller and four compute nodes. That worked fine. I add this fifth compute node and there appears the problem. I'll read those two posts.
