Hi all, I have installed Openstack Kilo on Ubuntu 14.04. I have setup controller, block and compute node.

However, I unable to create volumes. cinder-schedular.log on the controller machine shows volume:create: No valid host was found. No weighed hosts available cinder list shows the volume status as error. All the required services are verified up and running.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi can anyone let me know solution for this.

Same issue faced on devstack installation where cinder and nova backend is ceph. Ceph works fine nova instance works fine. Issue is with cinder volume creation.

[ceph] rbd_max_clone_depth = 5 rbd_flatten_volume_from_snapshot = False rbd_uuid = 1a87214d-bf20-406f-a38c-a1cc777848fd rbd_user = cinder rbd_pool = volumes rbd_ceph_conf = /etc/ceph/ceph.conf volume_driver = cinder.volume.drivers.rbd.RBDDriver volume_backend_name = ceph

all cinder service are up and running.

Thanks in advance.
