Help network configuration

Hi, I have openstack installed on a single machine ubuntu 14.04 LTS. My openstack is installed on my phisical machine on address: 10.2.1.12. This machine has 2 interfaces: one with fixed ip: 10.2.1.12 and the other private: 192.168.122.1. How can i configure my network of VMs??

Have you installed openstack using devstack? or you are doing manual installation

I installed openstack using devstack. I have created an image for ubuntu server and an instance. But i can not login to my instance, i do not know if the problem is due to the problem of network or if i have an error in insallation. Can you help me please?

How can i totally delete openstack from my machine?? Please can you give me a good link to help me to remove and reinstall openstack on my single machine? I think i had a problem in installation

Hi aisskar,

  1. you are not able to ssh/ping to the instance you created because you may have not set the security group setting do that. enable ICMP and SSH for that instance
  2. for document ion check for devstack guide http://docs.openstack.org/developer/d... . for reinstalltion the setps are ./unstack.sh and ./stack.sh if you run these two scripts in your devstack it will clean up the old and setup the new

First login your VM from console to verify if your VM really gets the IP address you give. If no, it's the network installation/configuration problem. If yes, you can follow the steps in this video "https://www.openstack.org/summit/openstack-summit-atlanta-2014/session-videos/presentation/troubleshooting-neutron-virtual-networks" to troubleshoot it.

Thank you for your answer. The problem is that i can not login my VM, when i start it, i have this error: [end kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: unable to mount root fs onunknown-block (0,0). How can i fix this problem?

Go through google, and you will find a lot of information similar to your problem. Most of them point to a failed installation. Maybe it's caused by your image, not related to OpenStack. Could you give cirros a try?
