Hello, Could you please describe this issue. image description

for example cirros can obtain drive, so why ubuntu can't ?

$ nova keypair-add oskey1 > oskey1.priv
$ chmod 600 oskey1.priv
$ nova boot --flavor 2 --key_name oskey1 --image \
    fa7a83d1-3ddb-4c0e-9c07-839b6b00f8ca ubuntu-guest1
where  fa7a83d1-3ddb-4c0e-9c07-839b6b00f8ca is ubuntu image-id;
Assign floating IP to instance say 192.168.1.156
$ ssh -i  oskey1.priv ubuntu@192.168.1.156

Yes, neutron net-list will show several nets. Select id for the right one:-

nova boot --flavor 2 --key_name ubukey1 --image dc47ff44-2bf9-41c1-b3d3-70e10493b3c8 --nic net-id=selected-net-id UbuntuRSX01

its work now i see AdminPass but what is the login ? :))) sorry i took ubuntu image from link that you gave me, maybe its configured with special settings, i just need to test instance and then i will try to create images for production use. Thank you

Are you installing ubuntu on vm instance of openstack ?

yes. ubuntu ISO image. strange situation that every operating system couldn't obtain hdd

That is what i thought of , Use the readymade qcow2 images to launch ubuntu instance on your vm , Download the qcow2 image and edit it via guestfish tool to set the root password , once done save it and import it to your openstack via glance image-create .
