Hey all,

I followed the instructions in the following guides:

  1. http://samos-it.com/posts/sriov-openstack-juno-fuel-6-1.html (http://samos-it.com/posts/sriov-opens...)
  2. http://redhatstackblog.redhat.com/2015/04/29/red-hat-enterprise-linux-openstack-platform-6-sr-iov-networking-part-ii-walking-through-the-implementation/ (http://redhatstackblog.redhat.com/201...)

But, no matter what I do or configure, when I come to start a VM it says:

"NoValidHost: No valid host was found. There are not enough hosts available."

the command I run to start the vm is:

nova boot --flavor m1.medium --image my_img --nic port-id=4790be5c-a8ad-4629-bf72-b46f9adc9716 --nic port-id=82077c51-7413-4f1b-be9a-54745a517ca6 test_sriov

both ports are sr-iov ports.

I use kilo version of openstack.

Any idea?

If any more info needed please let me know.

Thanks :) Shaham

Can you check /var/log/nova-scheduler.log on you controllers after executing the "nova boot" command?
