as eucalyptus walrus provides object locking, i.e. if there are two simultaneous write operations on an object, the write operation with latest timestamp will win. my question is; is openstack swift also provide something like this feature?

When multiple writes occur to the same object in swift, the last write wins as determined by timestamp (very similarly as you describe for Eucalyptus).
