Hello,

I'm trying to create a CentOS 7.1 instance using OpenStack. When I create the instance from the image, I select "Boot from Image (crates a new volume). My goal is to create a new 10GB Virtual Drive for this instance to boot.

My issue is that the instance boots, but the "vda" drive that is created, gets mounted as a 10GB ISO9660 device, which I cannot modify or partition during the initial install.

Any ideas? I've tried creating a separate volume for this instance, but every attempt fails.

You can not directly boot from an ISO image. This does in fact mount the disk image to your vda disk.
