Could you upload somewhere /etc/nova/nova.conf as text file and provide the link ( line 80 has an error) . Also, even picture above is missing "virt_type".

Hello dbaxps here is my conf file http://pastebin.com/pfjxLc7T

I use it from openstack's manual Start the Compute service including its dependencies and configure them to start automatically when the system boots:

# systemctl enable libvirtd.service openstack-nova-compute.service
# systemctl start libvirtd.service openstack-nova-compute.service

If you intend start 2 services :-

systemctl start libvirtd ;
systemctl status  libvirtd ;
systemctl start openstack-nova-compute ;
systemctl status  openstack-nova-compute

[root@compute nova]# systemctl start openstack-nova-compute Job for openstack-nova-compute.service failed. See 'systemctl status openstack-nova- compute.service' and 'journalctl -xn' for details.

It seems you missed the [DEFAULT] section header. If not, anything is wrong with your nova.conf, it's a parsing error.

May be your problem is more related to firewall.

Run this command on your compute and controller node

1 systemctl disable firewalld
2 systemctl stop firewalld 3 systemctl start openstack-nova-compute.service To check the output run this command systemctl status openstack-nova-compute.service

โ— openstack-nova-compute.service - OpenStack Nova Compute Server Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/openstack-nova-compute.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled) Active: active (running) since Sun 2017-07-02 12:27:30 IST; 10min ago Main PID: 15476 (nova-compute) CGroup: /system.slice/openstack-nova-compute.service โ””โ”€15476 /usr/bin/python2 /usr/bin/nova-compute

if this will not solve your problem kindly paste your nova.conf I will provide support to it

Yes there is no default section. Add it and if still error persist, check for the line number / error mentioned in the log file.
