Hey guys,

I am new to this and have also been googling / searching like crazy for an answer to my question. I currently installed the RedHat RDO using the single box method. I also was following this guide to use a provider network instead of using the public IP nat: http://docs.openstack.org/networking-guide/scenario_provider_ovs.html (http://docs.openstack.org/networking-...)

When I go and create an instance I get the following error: Error: Failed to perform requested operation on instance "test3", the instance has an error status: Please try again later [Error: No valid host was found. There are not enough hosts available.].

I suspect this is a Nuetron or OpenvSwitch error but cant seem to pinpoint what change I need to make to get this to work. When I click on my network i see under the DHCP:

(87090100-d6e8) 192.168.200.100 network:dhcp Down UP

I am not sure how to get the DHCP on an UP status.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time!

Hi,

you're really sure this is a neutron error and it isn't thrown by nova-scheduler. Anyway, check if all service are up and running in Neutron and Nova.

nova service-list
neutron agent-list

Check if you have enough capacity to start your flavor.

nova hypervisor-stats

This error means normally, the scheduler can't find any compute host that passed the filter pipeline.

Cheers Heiko

All right,

you should modify your filter pipeline to find the problem (maybe wrong region). Here is the documentation and you should only enable "ComputeFilter". After that, if it works, enable step by step all other filters
