How can I use a snapshot created in one openstack environment on another openstack environment

I have installed OpenStack Juno in one of our offices and have taken snapshot of the running instance (Ubuntu 14.04 desktop). It's working fine when I use it within the same environment across multiple projects. However I want to know if I can use this snapshot as it is in an altogether different location (portability). Thanks in advance.

I just copied the snapshot image from controller node (/var/lib/glance/images/) and used it in the new env. It is working fine.

It's possible via command line.

1.Put your VM snapshot to Controller node.

2.Source the admin credentials to gain access to admin-only CLI commands

3.Perform the command for image creation:

glance image-create --name "NAME_OF_IMAGE" --file PATH_TO_YOUR_SNAPSHOT --disk-format qcow2 --container-format bare --is-public True --progress

4.Boot a new instance from the image.

I'm not well versed with API. Learning now as time permits. I know where the images/snapshots are. Can I copy it (say, on a portable media) and launch it in my new env? If I do this way, will it work without any hitch? My new env has different subnets from my old one. Sorry for delayed response
