I was working on a linux VM boot problem and looked at the console in the dashboard. The instance log showed a fsck is needed on a filesystem. But the console didn't show the message even after pressing enter a few times. It was just stuck at the few lines before request to run fsck.

This was in Folsom and the VM was running RHEL 5.9. I was using Chrome to access the dashboard. I could see usual boot up messages until it asked run fsck manually on a filesystem.

Does anyone know why I can't see the message on the console screen?

please edit the question and add more details about your installations, the OS in the vm ecc. As it is now it's impossible to help you troubleshoot.
