After installing nova, I only get the rootwrap.d directory - besides that the directory is empty. I don't have any config files to edit. I've tried removing/purging and reinstalling with the same result.

It is better you explain some more stuff here. Which OS ? Installation was successful ? Did you look /etc/nova or /var/log/nova directory ? It is better you give more details so that communicty people can help you to resolve your issue.

Thanks dheeru. I'm sorry, focusing on too many things at once.

I'm installing on Ubuntu 12.04(LTS). In my /etc/nova directory, I only have the rootwrap.d directory. My /var/log/nova directory was empty. After doing the apt-get command, it showed that it installed and the service was running. But I couldn't find the logs in /var or any other files in /etc. I did an apt-get update command to see if I was missing anything and that came back with the same result.

I'm thinking something was hosed with the box, so I'm starting over.
