I deploy openstack following http://docs.openstack.org/folsom/basic-install/content/basic-install_intro.html, using quantum instand of nova-network.

after completion of installation, I launch a instance through dashboard web page.

it success, but without fixed ip address.

here are parts of log of the instance:

Starting logging: OK
Initializing random number generator... done.
Starting network...
udhcpc (v1.18.5) started
Sending discover...
Sending discover...
Sending discover...
No lease, failing
WARN: /etc/rc3.d/S40-network failed
cloud-setup: checking
wget: can't connect to remote host ( Network is unreachable
cloud-setup: failed 1/30: up 10.17. request failed

can any body help to find the solution? thanks!

Hi, Can you please provide details of your installation, such as configuration files (nova.conf and quantum configs) ?

It would be great if you could let us know where your quantum-server is running and which plugin are you using like ( linux-bridge or OVS). whether you have single node or multinode setup?
