Hi All,

I installed RDO all-in-one installation in a single physical server running centos6.4. Heat and ceilometer is also installed with the packstack.

When I run the command, #ceilometer statistics -m cpu_util \ -q "timestamp>$START;resource_id=$INSTANCE" -p 3600

I got the error, No handlers could be found for logger "ceilometerclient.common.http" Invalid OpenStack Identity credentials.

I run this command as admin user. I want to get the details of cpu utilization/memory usage of windows instances launched in openstack.

I also run ; #for svc in $CEILO_SVCS ; do sudo grep ERROR /var/log/ceilometer/${svc}.log ; d

I had the same error, and a look at /var/log/ceilometer/ceilometer-api.log give me these lines :

2014-04-15 15:01:26.355 1246 WARNING keystoneclient.middleware.auth_token [-] Retrying on HTTP connection exception: [Errno 1] _ssl.c:504: error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol 2014-04-15 15:01:26.874 1246 WARNING keystoneclient.middleware.auth_token [-] Retrying on HTTP connection exception: [Errno 1] _ssl.c:504: error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol 2014-04-15 15:01:27.893 1246 WARNING keystoneclient.middleware.auth_token [-] Retrying on HTTP connection exception: [Errno 1] _ssl.c:504: error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol 2014-04-15 15:01:29.912 1246 ERROR keystoneclient.middleware.auth_token [-] HTTP connection exception: [Errno 1] _ssl.c:504: error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol 2014-04-15 15:01:29.912 1246 WARNING keystoneclient.middleware.auth_token [-] Authorization failed for token da062348c4efff95809e98b02c6eeaf5

so a look at my /etc/ceilometer/ceilometer.conf :

#auth_protocol=https

replaced by

auth_protocol=http

and it is all good.

Invalid identity credentials - What are the values you are setting for username, password and tenant. Looks like some mismatch. Are you able to run other commands on controller like 'nova list' or 'nova image-list' with these credentials ?

Comments

When I source admin-openrc.sh file and give host password, the commands like nova list and nova image-list is working fine. But using that I can't able to run ceilometer commands and its throws an error like this [root@bfsicloud ~]# ceilometer meter-list No handlers could be found for logger "ceilometerclient.common.http" Invalid OpenStack Identity credentials. How to proceed further?

Hi Anand Can you try to see the tcpdump with port 3060? I'm assuming that 3060 is the port you are using / tcpdump -i lo -s 0 -A port 3060. This may give us hint about what credentials are going towards the keystone .

[root@openstackcloud ~]# tcpdump -i lo -s 0 -A port 3060 tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on lo, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 65535 bytes
