Bernd Bausch says::-
I use Centos 6.6. To install containers:
# enable the EPEL repository
# yum install -y lxc lxc-templates lxc-doc

I believe templates would contain same version of CentOS
Regarding Ubuntu 15.04 as LXC host :

 Sample output:
sudo ls /usr/share/lxc/templates/
lxc-alpine    lxc-archlinux  lxc-centos  lxc-debian    lxc-fedora  lxc-openmandriva  lxc-oracle  lxc-sshd    lxc-ubuntu-cloud  lxc-altlinux  lxc-busybox    lxc-cirros  lxc-download  lxc-gentoo  lxc-opensuse      lxc-plamo     lxc-ubuntu
    To create a new Container, the command should be as below.
    sudo lxc-create -n <container-name> -t <template>

Next, see
Here template for CentOS 6.5 is available ( section "Alternate operating systems").

Could you switch to Nova-Docker Containers ? Then CentOS image won't be a problem.

I change hypervisor -> nova-compute-lxc .
Creating centos image is impossible ?
