Hello,

I'm creating an instance from an image that I previously saved to install some libs, and in this image I got the error in /var/log/cloud-init.log:

2015-06-29 13:46:20,332 - util.py[DEBUG]: Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/cloudinit/CloudConfig/cc_ssh.py", line 89, in handle
    apply_credentials(keys, user, disable_root, disable_root_opts, log)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/cloudinit/CloudConfig/cc_ssh.py", line 99, in apply_credentials
    sshutil.setup_user_keys(keys, user, '', log)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/cloudinit/SshUtil.py", line 146, in setup_user_keys
    pwent = pwd.getpwnam(user)
KeyError: 'getpwnam(): name not found: ubuntu'

  • The user ubuntu do not exist in the original image too.

  • I'm running it on Rackspace Public Cloud.
