I had installed openstack juno on a controller and three compute nodes using packstack. I had to reinstall libpcap on a compute node. This erased nova-compute and libvirt packages. How can I reinstall them that is how can I reinstall the same versions of these packages. The following is the list of packages removed. I want to restore them:

In case you do not want to run the installation over again on the already configured servers, add the following parameter to the answerfile:

EXCLUDE_SERVERS=<serverIP>,<serverIP>,..

But I donot want the VMs running on that compute node to be removed.Installing it in this way would prevent this? Thanks

Yes, list of EXCLUDE_SERVERS won't be touched by packstack.

But the existing VMs on this compute node where I re-install will be deleted?

Restore Compute node manually , if you can

Manually means installing the removed packages through rpm? I could not find the rpm for libvirt-1.1.1-29.el7_0.3.x86_64. Also will I have to install each noarch seperately all will installing nova-compute rpm install libvirt too.
