Everytime I launch my very tiny cyrros image I have the errors below:

nova-compute.log (compute) 2015-06-16 15:24:02.129 1234 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 19fc1510-87fc-4beb-aa7c-bd0903107bf2] BadRequest: Expecting to find username or userId in passwordCredentials - the server could not comply with the request since it is either malformed or otherwise incorrect. The client is assumed to be in error. (HTTP 400) (Request-ID: req-4636517c-dcc7-4361-bb51-b6739d9bb407)

keystone.log (controller) 2015-06-16 15:24:02.125 2783 WARNING keystone.common.wsgi [-] Expecting to find username or userId in passwordCredentials - the server could not comply with the request since it is either malformed or otherwise incorrect. The client is assumed to be in error.

I have checked all configuration files, every sections where username/password must be filled, no problems about object storage,block storage, image, keystone, neutron, rabbitmqctl command output.

Which are the configuration file and related section used from nova to lauch the instance ? Maybe I have skipped some config file or field... Very strange, I following step by step the documentation...

Regards, Antonio

Possible wrong settings into documentation. To solve my problem instance launch failure I set my configuration so:

Configuration file /etc/nova/nova.conf (compute and controller nodes)

[DEFAULT]

network_api_class=nova.network.neutronv2.api.API

security_group_api=neutron

#DOC CHAPTER 6 "ADD A NETWORKING COMPONENT" PAG.92 tell to set attributes as below WHILE PAG.84 tell to set attributes as above

network_api_class=nova.network.api.API

security_group_api=nova

To avoid password credential problems I have avoid to set the network_api_class and security_group_api as reported into pag 84.
