Can i decide how the database is stored between nodes when using openstack? For example, can I know how are the mysql tables stored in different nodes?

Usually openstack supports mysql , mariadb or postgress sql and its mainly installed on controller node only. For each and every service like keystone, glance, nova, neutron, cinder etc.. you are pointing the mysql connection towards the node where database is installed. As far as I know, database is not spread across multiple nodes like network, compute node.
