I have a multinode OpenStack kilo setup with 2 compute nodes, a controller and a network node. I am trying to migrate a Vm from host to the other, but there is a migration failure and the VM stays on the same host.

Logs for nova compute

Kindly help in this regards

Are you able to ping compute-VirtualBox from source compute node? if not, then put the proper setting in /etc/hosts file.

Instead of populating hosts file, better use dns .. and also try if both compute nodes are pingable

Yes, both the nodes are pingable. I am able to ping every from other nodes. Do I have to configure migrations as I am running "nova live-migration vm_name host_name --block-migrate" command and I am getting this error.

If yes, how to configure migrations ? As I am able to boot VM's on both the compute hosts and they are going in ACTIVE state.
