Hi,

After upgrading out Juno installation to Kilo, i realized that one of the instanced directory is removed somehow. Normally there should be a /var/lib/nova/instances/1e478eca-109c-449e-be64-7deb9d88942b at the compute node but here is the structure

ls -l
total 16
drwxr-xr-x 2 nova nova 4096 May 28 14:11 _base
-rw-r--r-- 1 nova nova 0 Jun 12 09:04 compute_nodes
drwxr-xr-x 2 nova nova 4096 Mar 30 17:48 locks
drwxr-xr-x 2 nova nova 4096 Jun 12 09:21 snapshots

the snapshots directory has a .delta file inside. Is there a way to recover the instance?

Backup is not included in OpenStack, you should have this implemented by yourself. Backups is a critical part of your infrastructure.
