I intend to setup a single all in one node at my office as a technology demonstrator - is it possible to configure Neutron/Midonet networking using a single node only?

What would the prequisites be?

Best regards, Maciej

You can use the quickstart script for a single node deployment:

Execute this command inside an Ubuntu 14.04 Virtual Machine with at least 4GB of memory (8GB recommended)

$ curl -sL quickstart.midonet.org | sudo bash

This command will install the latest MidoNet with OpenStack. Once finished, you will be told how to log into Horizon.

Yes, it's definitely possible and can be done with both Devstack (sources) or packages.

For the latter, based on Ansible scripts for MN5.0 and on Puppet for MN2015.06, please see the QuickStart Guide available at https://www.midonet.org
