Hi all,

I noticed there are two command nova add-fixed-ip and nova interface-attach

Looks like they can all achieve to add a new network interface to an active instance.

What's the difference between them ??? Which one should I use ?

Thanks. -chen

I know it's an old thread but it's nver too late for an answer!

nova add-fixed-ip adds multiple ip's to the network interface of the guest OS. (eg: eth0, eth0:0, eth0:1, etc.)

nova interface-attach adds another network interface on the guest OS. (eg: eth0, eth1, eth2, etc)
