I installed openstack juno on ubuntu 14.04 nodes(each node is a VM) following this guide: [http://docs.openstack.org/juno/install-guide/install/apt/content/ch_overview.html#architecture_overview (http://docs.openstack.org/juno/instal...)]

When I'm launching VM the nova compute logs on the compute node displays:

INFO nova.virt.disk.vfs.api [-] Unable to import guestfsfalling back to VFSLocalFS

having debug = true on nova.conf the logs show this:

`2015-05-28 15:20:00.558 2042 DEBUG nova.virt.disk.mount.api [-] Failed to mount filesystem: Unexpected error while running command.

Changing virt_type = to qemu on nova-compute.conf solves this problem, but then instances performs poorly...

As I said, all the nodes of the basic architecture are VMs virtualized with KVM

Other relevant info:

lsmod | grep kvm output:

kvm_intel 143590 0

kvm 452088 1 kvm_intel

I've tried installing python-guestfs and running

$ python

>>> import guestfs

this makes the first message "INFO nova.virt.disk.vfs.api [-] Unable to import guestfsfalling back to VFSLocalFS" dissapear but instance wont boot neither.
