Change the neutron tunnel mode of a operational openstack system

Hello all,

I already have a openstack cluser UP & running with VXLAN as the networking overlay for VM-VM overlays. I want to change the overlay from VXLAN to VLAN (or add a second overlay which is VLAN using provider networks). Is there a way to make these changes without building the openstack system again ? What are the steps to change the neutron configuration without affecting the other services or bringing down the system ? Thanks in advance, Regards, Vivek

2nd try:

Just to be bit more clear on the question I have a working multinode openstack cluster using vxlan as the overlay. Now I want to add a second provider network for vlan networking. How can add the vlan tenant networking without re-installing the openstack all over again ?

Regards, Vivek

If adding new Network Node (ML&OVS&VLAN) && Compute Nodes seems to be possible at first sight, then I realize that just updating ml2_conf.ini on Controller might be insufficient. Neutron Database should be rebuilt on Controller to add VLAN support ( based on new configuration files )

See First configuration files are changed, then it follows by populating neutron database via neutron-db-manage
