Hi Gurus,

Another question from me. i would like to deploy my compute with neutron router in DVR mode. what is the requirement for this. i did go thru some guides and i can see that need to enable to l2population and also change agent mode to dvr snat for controller and dvr for compute. i can see also that most of the configuration using vxlan. does this means that dvr can only support vxlan? which means that this can only be happening if we have a vxlan support switch hardware. am i correct?

thanks. senyapsudah

See following links for help:

If you check the upgrade notes for Kilo ( you can see that DVR now supports VLANs (DVR now supports VLANs in addition to VXLAN/GRE).

This means you can deploy DVR with VLAN, VXLAN or GRE.

hmm, i check at kimizhang and it is the same thing that i config in my environment. i can create the router for dvr but sadly, when i check on the port status of the router it shows state down. trying to look around but found nothing yet.
