can't get a vm to provision after successful devstack all-in-one install

Hi,

I installed devstack on a fresh Ubuntu 14.04 install, and stack.sh completed successfully. I can log into the UI, but when I try to provision the first vm, I get a failed build with the error: Failed to perform requested operation on instance <instancename>, the instance has an error status: Please try again later [Error: Unknown].

That was for the first one. The error for any following build is: Failed to perform requested operation on instance <instancename>, the instance has an error status: Please try again later [Error: Build of instance <uuid> aborted: Could not clean up failed build, not rescheduling].

I tried a couple of different sizes (nano, tiny) from a couple of different sources (boot from image, boot from volume) and always get the same error.

When I grep the log directory with the uuid of the failed build, there's an enormous amount of information but the first sign of failure doesn't really point to anything specific, just says the build failed. Where should I look to find the cause of the problem?

I have very limited experience with devstack so any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Verify that all nova services are up by running "nova service-list" command

I too having the same problem,

Failed to perform requested operation on instance "Ubuntu Desktop", the instance has an error status: Please try again later [Error: Unknown]

Have checked nova service-list too, all the 6 nova services are enabled. What will be the issue??
