Is there a feature on the Dashboard/Horizon GUI to display/monitor Open vSwitch port byte/packet counts on a network or compute node? Based on service descriptions, it seems the Telemetry service/Ceilometer project might be the best place to look for such a feature. I have done DevStack, Juno, and Kilo installs including Ceilometer and have not seen evidence of such a feature. Perhaps this is something that is added after standard install.

No. Horizon is meant to interact with OpenStack services so It does not show/monitor OpenVSwitch. However you can set OpenDayLight as controller for OpenvSwitch and use its GUI for monitoring ovs.

I remember there was a blueprint about monitoring network using OpenDaylight, I have however not tried it myself but monitoring Open vSwitch is definitely something I would like to look into.

I found it: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ceil...
