Hi Folks,

I have a development server running Windows Server 2012 with Hyper-v. It has around 30 virtual machines. I am looking for documentation on how to install Openstack on Windows Server 2012 and make it to provision new virtual machines and manage existing virtual machines.

Thank you

Regards, Nav

The fastest way to get you started is to run v-magine, it will install OpenStack Juno and configure Hyper-V: http://www.cloudbase.it/v-magine/

Beside this, you can find a lot of documentation and blog posts on http://www.cloudbase.it, including the downloads for the Nova compute installers.

HI Alex,

I looked at the link. It appears to be straight forward however i have existing Hyper-v server with VMs on it. I am wondering what should be my config like and would running the setup affect existing vms.

Regards, Nav

I tried to run the v-magine however it isn't supported on Server 2012, I think it only works on 2012 R2.
