Storing Snapshots on S3

We have offsite backups we're making of our stack, but it would also be nice to have the capabilities of storing snapshots with another provider just for extra security and ease of restoration if needed.

I've looked around and can't seem to find something like this at all. I didn't want to hack away at a new Horizon feature if it existed some where else already.

Just to clarify when you say snapshots do you mean snapshots of instances, or volumes, or both?

Great question - I was thinking instances but now that you've said it, volumes can make sense too

I've never heard of a way for any openstack component to natively engage with Amazon or other non-openstack clouds the way you describe.
