The status shows as error_deleting. I've tried by force-delete (didn't work). I tried cinder delete ID (didn't work). Anyone have any ideas? this is really bothering me.

Run the lvscan on your cinder node to see if the logical volumes are still there. If the logical volumes are missing or have been deleted, the only option you have is to modify the database.

I had the same problem. I had to go into the database and remove the uuid from the "volumes" table.

  1. login to to mysql
  2. mysql>select * from volumes;
  3. mysql>delete from volumes where volume_id or id='uuid';

Note - if there is a dependency in another table, you will need to delete the uuid from that table first before deleting from the volumes tables

side commands mysql> select id from volume; mysql> select status from volume;

Hope this helps;

Kishore
