How to install All-In-One Single VM

I have a vsphere server and would like to try openstack on it.

I find a link from openstack docs (http://docs.openstack.org/developer/devstack/guides/single-vm.html#virtual-machine (http://docs.openstack.org/developer/d...))

I thought I would download a vsphere image file (vmdk) that I can upload a run on vsphere server.

Where could I find cloud-init? That docs has give a link to Ubuntu, but when I following that link I find a lot of files but no explanation on how to use them.

Then I find a script, seems telling me on how to use "cloud-config". I wonder where could I run that command? Must run windows with virtual box installed?

Please help me.

Thanks

James

You want install an Openstack environment on a VM inside vSphere, right? If yes, you only need to install a VM with CentOS or Ubuntu and use Devstack, RDO, etc.
