Hi all,

we are trying to live migrate a VM between two Compute nodes. after looking for this problem on this site, we understand that it's related to the fact that the two compute nodes have different CPUs. the problem appears only one way, which means that live migration from compute-2 to compute-1 works good, but live migration from compute-1 to compute-2 does not works.

this is the error that we get when trying to migrate from compute-1 to compute-2:

2015-04-12 15:03:49.590 22634 ERROR oslo.messaging._drivers.common [req-2407f9e2-c89e-4e99-9909-e2bb6269b919 ] Returning exception Unacceptable CPU info: CPU doesn't have compatibility.

we had tried several solution, but the problem did not solved. we first tried setting cpu_model = None on the nova.conf. and later reconfigure it to:

[libvirt]
cpu_mode=custom
cpu_model=kvm64

but without success.

Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Alon.
