Hi All,

while installing openstack juno stable relsease in ubuntu 14.04 server LTS, error message I am getting is

  • sudo -H PIP_DOWNLOAD_CACHE=/var/cache/pip http_proxy= https_proxy= no_proxy= /usr/local/bin/pip install -e /opt/stack/horizon

DEPRECATION: --download-cache has been deprecated and will be removed in the future. Pip now automatically uses and configures its cache.

Directory '/opt/stack/horizon' is not installable. File '' not found

  • exit_trap
  • local r=1 ++ jobs -p
  • jobs=
  • [[ -n '' ]]
  • kill_spinner
  • '[' '!' -z '' ']'
  • [[ 1 -ne 0 ]]
  • echo 'Error on exit' Error on exit
  • [[ -z '' ]]
  • /opt/stack/devstack/tools/ World dumping... see ./worlddump-2015-04-01-085311.txt for details df: '/run/user/1000/gvfs': Permission denied
  • exit 1

I hope some one has faced this problem...please let me know the solution for this error.

Best Regards

I removed /opt/stack/horizon directory and started once again....working fine.

Sounds like one of two things. Either whatever user you're running as doesn't have permissions to write to /opt/stack (wrong user, wrong group, disk full), or the installer you're using is incomplete.

Check the system logs ('dmesg') for obvious errors and make sure you're running as the right user. I'd also clean out /opt/stack and start the Devstack install again.
